Mount Kilimanjaro Fundraising Climb
Lesley and Helen recently succeeded in climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, raising over £8,000 for The Windmill Trust!

On Saturday, October 7, Lesley Ritchie and Helen Trivengadum succeeded in a life-changing challenge of climbing Africa’s highest mountain, to raise much-needed funds for a local charity, The Windmill Trust.

The duo chose to tackle the Machame Route, which is a seven-day, 37-mile route. After setting off on September 30, they completed the walk on October 7, and have raised over £8,000 on their JustGiving page, smashing their original target of £5000.

We are so proud of Lesley and Helen and can't thank them enough for their hard work.

Reflections: a collection of poetry, Amanda Ducksbury

The Windmill Trust is proud to share this wonderful book of poetry. The author, Amanda Ducksbury, has kindly offered to share a percentage of any book sales with our charity.

Amanda finds inspiration for her poetry in the beautiful landscapes of Cumbria and strongly believes writing about nature benefits wellbeing and mental health.

"My continued journey along life's bumpy road hasn't been easy. I hope that by writing my new collection of poems, it will inspire others to achieve their dreams, no matter what is thrown in their way. Hopefully, by doing so, I can give something back in life by sharing what I see and feel when out in nature. I hope this will help others who are struggling too."

Reflections: a collection of poetry is available from all good bookstores and online at Amazon.co.uk
